My name is Kathryn Mardones. I’m a writer and the founder of Mardones Publishing. I write short stories and am currently working on a memoir entitled, Failing with Grace: Apologia of an Alcoholic Mom, that is my story of becoming a wife and then lawyer and then a mom and then a divorced, suicidal alcoholic. I am also working on creating the first edition of The Sunshine City Literary Journal, an online literary magazine devoted to publishing stories to inspire women.

I am currently available for ghost writing.

I write about how it feels to be a middle-aged woman in St. Petersburg, Florida trying to have it all: sanity, sobriety, a husband, a teenage son and a corporate legal career. My writing explores how I find joy in what might look, to the untrained eye, like a fucking mess.

I am working on creating an online literary magazine devoted to providing a place for voices to inspire women.

I blog about writing and my life, thoughts that might become stories or might remain unfinished snippets or imaginings forever.

I have written several short stories and am working on a memoir called, “Failing with Grace: Apologia of a Professional Alcoholic Mom”
